EPIC Broadens its Portfolio in Nigeria

EPIC are pleased to announce a new contract for an onshore site in Nigeria with a major global operator. This contract extends EPIC’s onshore presence and demonstrates another sector where Smart-Trac can be deployed.

The brief for this project was to replace a now obsolete personnel management system with as little disruption to the existing infrastructure as possible. Our solution included replacing the main network equipment and new RFID muster readers, while utilising existing cable runs to prevent any major ground or install works.

The complex connects two sites, giving full visibility of persons onsite in both locations as well as the ability to monitor mustering and evacuation operations all on Smart-Trac.

Diversification is a massive drive for us, and being able to offer the same key functionalities in a different environment will help open a whole new set of opportunities for EPIC. The fundamentals and requirements are the same as offshore and with some sites having up to thousands of personnel onsite there is almost an added importance to ensure correct personnel management. Being able to showcase our retrofit capabilities as well as integrating with existing infrastructure gives us a strong platform to continue growing onshore.
