The New Upgrade Zone 2 Mobile RFID Reader

Our zone 2 hazardous area mobile RFID reader has been upgraded to the new Bartec TC78ex. This popular and highly versatile rugged portable computer has all the features of the previous model but comes with many improvements. It now features a larger 6” bonded touch screen, a higher capacity 4680 mAh battery and now runs Android 13.

The new unit also comes with is own charging and docking station, which like the previous model, also comes with a dedicated battery charging bay. Of course, this means that the battery is fully customer replaceable (in a non-hazardous area).

This all means the previous TC77ex has now become EOL, but don’t panic it will be fully supported for a while and both units can work side by side on our POB and eMustering Smart-Trac platform.
